1914 -
BRITISH master sculptor and printmaker, Lynn Chadwick is regarded as one of Britain's finest sculptors, of the 20th century.
Self trained, his first one-man exhibition was at the GIMPEL FILS, London (1950). Initially, the artist created FIGURATIVE pieces (often, inspired by insects) and over time graduated to more MINIMALIST pieces, returning back to FIGURATION, in the 1960s.
Lynn Chadwick has been the recipient of International Sculpture Prize at the Venice Biennale (1956) and his works are held by major museums, such as TATE GALLERY (London).
