Abel Roy Biography

1966, France –

Emerging French artist, Abel Roy is a painter whose work is influenced by traditional IMPRESSIONISM, REALISM and CUBISM.

Abel started painting at the age of 14, while he was spending most of his time visiting Parisian art galleries, museums and exhibitions.

At a young age, the artist began meeting Parisian artists from the famous Montparnasse area (well-known due to the Ecole de Paris at the beginning of the century with Chagal, Soutine,....).

At the age of 17, he is accepted at the famous Ecole des Beaux Arts de Paris, "atelier Caron". He first presented his works during an exhibition when he was 18 and continues to exhibit once a year in Paris.
