Anand Narain Biography
Anand Narain Based in Delhi, India. Did MFA from J M I, N Delhi. Narain has many feathers in his cap in his own credit which includes annual award from UP state Lalit Kala Academy , L K A Research Grant and the Annual award by Camlin . He showcased his works regularly by having Solo exhibitions and participating in National and International events. Narain held twelve solo shows to state here : at Lalit Kala Academy,Lucknow, 1987; AIFACS Gallery, N Delhi 1988; Lalit Kala Galleries, N Delhi 1989; Triveni Art Gallery, N Delhi 1993; Sridharani Art Gallery, N Delhi 1995; Triveni Art Gallery, N Delhi .1998 ; Triveni Art Gallery, N Delhi 2009 ; ICCR Art Gallery , N Delhi 2010; Triveni Art Gallery, N Delhi & At Marwah studio, Film City Noida, 2012; Sridharani Art Gallery, NDelhi 2014 and Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai 2016.
Curated group show “THE CONFLUENCE” of 14 artists from different states at Rabindra Bhawan, N Delhi in 2011.
He also had Thirty five group shows in major cities of India and abroad. He has been participating in many major Art Exhibitions such as 4th International Exhibition in Moscow ; 34th & 54th National Exhibition by Lalit Kala Academy.
Adding a great importance to his artist profile are his participations in various Artists Camps. His enormous range of art collections are in India and abroad.
Anand Narain is the explorer of untouched nature & the spiritual gold Banaras. Apart from painting, his writeups and poems also find space in various renowned papers and magazines. A collection of poems titled ‘O ! Adhunik kavi’ (content based on Social Awareness) is ready and will be available for the public soon.
He lives and works in New Delhi, India.
