Aramis Ney Biography

There are artists for whom their art is a separated world from their lives; such is the gentleman, comfortably off and almost without a history. There are others, like Van Gogh, Gaugin and Toulouse-Lautrec (not to go away from postimpressionism, with which modern art begins in more than one sense), whose works are inseparable from the tragic existence they led. Ney belongs to the latter of these groups. his life has been an agitated, hazardous, changing and many times chaotic adventure always devoted to enjoy or to endure every fleeting moment. In the beginning he did not have too much confidence in the value of what he did, and he painted, above all, to survive, but by a mysterious design of the gods, his painting seems to be designed to outlive him, and it shall remain when everything else circumstantial had been forgotten.
