Negative Film

Negative Film

Many photographic processes create negative images - the chemicals used react to light, and during developing these chemicals are retained and become opaque while the unexposed chemicals are washed away. So when a negative image is created from a negative - a positive image results. This makes most chemical based photography a 2 step process. These are called negative films and processes.
