Detailed Description

Between 1960 and 1974, Charoy worked as an illustrator for both French and international magazines. Political portraits of De Gaulle, Churchill and Mao featured among his work. Charoy also provided the illustrations for the French translation of Gulag Archipelago by Solzhenitsen.
