Carmen Rissoto Biography
Spanish painter and illustrator Carmen Rissoto works in a Naif style. Her work deals with spirituality, understood as the only way for humans to become conscious of their vital function. Her pieces have great depth, exploring feminine iconography and tracing its symbolism.
Rissoto graduated from the Art School of Seville, Spain, in 1989. Although her circumstances have distanced her from traditional art circles, she has held a dozen solo exhibitions in Seville, Cadiz and Barcelona, and her artworks have been acquired by private and public collectors in Spain, France, Holland, Switzerland, Germany and Mexico.
