Chris Gollon is a masterful inventor of images, with an outstanding curriculum behind him and the promise of becoming one of UK’s brightest lights in painting. Drawing inspiration from the Spanish masters, he pulls on a variety of traditions: from classic surrealism to concepts of cubism. His paintings combine technical excellence with an interest in absurdity, as he portrays human relations and drama. He is currently working on a secular museum commission and a large commission for the Church of England, painting 14 Stations of the Cross for a grade-one listed church in London designed by Sir John Soane.
