David Armitage Biography

David was born in Tasmania in 1943 and has lived in mainland Australia and NewZealand. Since 1973, he has been living and working in the UK.

Education

He was educated at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.

Between 1967 and 1973, David exhibited extensively across galleries in New Zealand, his home during that period.

Since 1973, he has been exhibting in the UK - including shows at:

Fruitmarket, in Edinburgh,

Atlantis, in London,

Mitre Gallery in Chichester, and

Hanover Gallery in Liverpool.

David´s work is also held in both public and private collections across Australia, USA and Europe.
