Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1953
Established Argentinean figurative painter. He works mainly with watercolours and also is involved in design. His paintings show a beautiful and melancholic harmony of colour, an urban beauty that produces as a result a poetic and charming spectacle.
He has participated in numerous collective and solo exhibitions, in Argentina as well as other foreign countries. He learnt from two of the most important masters in the South American School of watercolour: Lola Frexas and Guillermo Roux. His work is part of many European and American collections.
As a fine artist, his themes are mainly urban: cities, thier streets, thier people, and when the city is Buenos Aires, its music is also incorporated: its famous tango. As a designer he has been awarded several times with national and international prizes (London International Advertising Awards, Lapiz de Oro, Premio Meca al Afiche Publicitario, New York Festival, Award to creativity in public roads, ect).
Pablo Vazquez won a contest that allowed him ton work with the film director Pino Solanas as an artistic director for his film "Sur", for which he received first prize in the best poster of the year in show category.
