Francesca Roncagliolo Biography

Emerging Peruvian artist Francesca Roncagliolo’s works are a mixture of tradition and technology. Originally trained as a painter, her mixed media compositions combine photography, video and digital painting. She uses neither photographic manipulation nor filter or effects, and instead meticulously “paints” on the computer with the help of image software and a graphic tablet.

She received a degree in Fine Arts from the Escula de Bellas Artes Corriente Alterna, Lima, Perú, and from Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design. She received a Master in Art and New Technologies from Universidad Europea de Madrid. She currently resides in Madrid.
