Frank Tjepkema Biography

Frank Tjepkema was born in Geneva, in 1970. He graduated from the Design Academy in Eindhoven, cum laude, in 1996. He obtained his masters from the Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam.

He is interested in brand-related design which has led him to work with well know brands such as Philips, British Airways, Ben, Droog Design and Heineken. He has done interior design for British Airways, Fabbrica, ROC Economy, Nemo Science Center and Urban Garden amongst others. He has designed many products, accessories and unique chairs and tables. His table accident is a controlled collision of seven tables all marked by different colors.

Some of his works have been made part of the permanent collections of the Central Museum Utrecht, Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art in Amsterdam, Museum't Kruithuis in Den Bosch, and the Museum for Kunst and Gewerbe in Hamburg. He also works as a teacher at the Design Academy in Eindhoven.
