Fredrikson Stallard Biography

Patrik Fredrikson and Ian Stallard founded Fredrickson Stallard in 1995 and have since become internationally known as leaders of Britain?s avant-garde design.

Patrik and Ian were born in Sweden, 1968 and the United Kingdom, 1973, respectively. They both studied at the Central Saint Martins College in London.

In their furniture they use many different materials from rubber tables, to logs bonded together, an aluminum series, glass tables and even a chair made of polyurethane foam. They also have an exquisite variety of porcelain vases that vary in shape, size and style. They do not believe that function is important in a piece anymore, but instead that their works should tell stories and have meaning.

Their works are described as cutting-edge, conceptually rigorous, and are highly regarded by collectors. Their clientele includes, David Gills Gallery, Contrasts Gallery, Swarovski, David Collins, Oscar de la Renta, MoMA, Paul Smith, Tools Galerie, Thorsten Van Elten and the Conran shop.They have held many exhibitions in places such as Paris, Milan, London, San Francisco, New York, Basel, and Miami Beach. Their works have been featured in leading magazines such as Furniture Machine, 21st century design, New York Times, The Times, Architectural digest, Vogue and the International Design Yearbook.
