Raul Barbieri Biography

Raul Barbieri was born in 1946 in Milan. He received a degree in Architecture from Milan Polytechnic in 1972. While studying he worked for the design studio Olivetti where he met Giorgio Marianelli. He teamed up with Marianelli to open the Raul Barbieri and Giorgio Marianelli architecture and industrial design studio in Milan. In 1989 he began working on his own project from an individual studio regarding works for an area of terraced houses in Milan. The project was recently presented at the Compass D'Oro ADI Architectural and Design exhibition in London. Because of his passion for research applied to design, he has collaborated with schools such as Ecole Superieure de la Creation Industrielle ¨Les Atielers¨ in Paris and the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan. Many others that he has worked with include Acerbis International, Alivar Gallery, CiDue, Magis, Ycarni, Rexite, Tronconi, and Zucchetti.
