To make a submission for selection as a PicassoMio artist partner, simply send us the following items to artist@picassomio.com:
  1. Digital images of your current work
  2. Curriculum Vitae or Resume
  3. Price sheet

After receipt of the above, we will contact you at the earliest with the selection decision of our Art Jury. At this stage we will also guide you through the process for submitting all the relevant materials to complete your exhibit.

How can I submit for the Professional Package?

In order to submit for the Professional Package, simply follow our standard submission procedure, indicating that you are interested in the Professional Package. Upon acceptance for exhibit on PicassoMio.com by our Art Jury, we will contact you to help you prepare all the relevant material for the Professional Package. Can I submit via email?

What are the selection criteria for exhibiting on PicassoMio?

PicassoMio's selection criteria include all the prerequisites of quality original art: originality; understanding of composition, color, design, texture, pattern and form; imagination; personal expression; inventiveness; handling of techniques and an understanding of materials.

If I do not have access to a computer or Internet, can I still exhibit on PicassoMio.com?

Of course. You do not need to have your own computer or even to have access to Internet. Although the fastest way of communicating is via email, we can also process your application and work with you using traditional mail and/ or fax. We do, however suggest that artists are connected with email. Nowadays there are plenty of public accesses to Internet, even in the remotest of places. If I am already represented by a gallery, can I still exhibit on PicassoMio.com?

Of course. Most of PicassoMio.com artist partners are represented by galleries. We respect all your traditional means of promoting and exhibiting your artwork. However, if the work you have also exhibited on PicassoMio.com is sold via another channel, we simply ask that you notify us. This avoids the eventuality of the work being sold twice, leading to a disappointed customer.

If I am represented by an online gallery, can I still exhibit on PicassoMio.com?

Yes. However, we do work with artists on an artwork-exclusive basis. Under these conditions, the artworks you exhibit on PicassoMio.com may not be exhibited on a third-party electronic commerce website. This ensures that a visitor to PicassoMio.com, who is interested in buying your artwork, is not disillusioned or confused by seeing the same artwork on a different website. Other websites may operate under different conditions: different returns policy, different shipping procedures and potentially with inferior artists. We believe that our artwork exclusive structure actually compliments the exclusive nature of your art and your reputation with art lovers and art collectors.

If I already have my own website, what are the advantages of exhibiting on PicassoMio.com?

Having your own website implies that you obviously understand the opportunity that Internet offers. However, even if you pay a lot of money to have a top quality website designed and maintained, it is very difficult and expensive to procure a large audience for all your hard work and investment. Once you are accepted to exhibit as a PicassoMio artist, you can submit new artworks or make changes at any time. Each individual artwork will, of course, need to meet our selection criterion, as with all artworks. You can always request changes by sending us an email at: artist@picassomio.com or by sending us a mail.

Is it possible for me to put a link to my PicassoMio exhibit on my own website?

By all means. Simply send us an email at: artist@picassomio.com, and we will send you the details.

Can digital images be used for the exhibit on PicassoMio.com, instead of slides or negatives?

How can I have digital images made of my work?

Once I have been accepted for exhibit on PicassoMio.com, how do I send in my artwork?

Do I have to send in the physical artworks, or just images?

Can digital images be used to exhibit on PicassoMio.com, instead of slides or negatives?

Yes. Digital images may used to make a submission for exhibition or for your online exhibition. Our strict specifications for digital images are as follows:
  • Shorter side of image must measure a minimum of 500 pixels. So, if the horizontal side of the image is longer than the vertical, you should enter 500 in the horizontal box on your imaging programme, and visa versa. The longer side will be calculated automatically by your programme.
  • Resolution of the image must be set at 72 DPI.
  • Images must be saved as JPEG or TIFF files, all files must be PC compatible.
  • Image files may be saved on a diskette or CD Rom.
Please note, we are very careful that all images submitted are to our strict specifications. This ensures that all online exhibits are to the same superior standard. Your artworks on PicassoMio.com can be viewed up to a full screen size, without loosing high image quality.

How can I have digital images made of my work?

You can check your Yellow Pages for photo laboratories in your neighbourhood, who offer digitalisation of slides and negatives. You should be sure that they digitalize your images at the highest quality setting and to our strict specifications If you have experience in digitalisation, and have access to the relevant equipment and programmes, then you can go ahead and digitalize the images yourself. Remember, if have trouble making digital images of your slides, negatives or photographs, or you are unable to have the process done for you, you can send us your 35mm slides or negatives. We will digitalize them for you, free of charge. Should you wish your slides to be returned to you, please also send a self-addressed envelope.

Once I have been accepted for exhibit on PicassoMio.com, how do I send in my artwork?

After you have submitted your artwork for consideration for exhibition on PicassoMio, and upon acceptance by our Art Jury, we will guide you through the simple process of submitting all the necessary materials.

Do I have to send in the physical artworks, or just images?

At no time do we hold your artworks as physical inventory. This ensures you the maximum freedom to exhibit and promote your work at traditional galleries, shows and art fairs. Thus, it is easy for you to exhibit an unlimited number of artworks on PicassoMio.com, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Upon sale of your artwork via PicassoMio.com, we will contact you to guide you through the simple shipping process. Generally, we let artists pack their own artwork for shipping, as they know better than anybody the care needed in this process.  As you know, you do not have to worry about the cost of shipping, as ALL shipping costs are reimbursed by PicassoMio. However, we do not reimburse artists for the packaging costs. 

Is my artwork insured whilst in transit?

Yes, your artwork is insured under PicassoMio's insurance arrangements.

Does the customer have the right to return the artwork after they have bought it?

We assure all our customers with a money-back returns policy, by notifying us within 7 days of their receipt of the artwork. Under such circumstances, PicassoMio immediately notifies the artist. This policy not only ensures that the customer is confident when buying through PicassoMio.com, it also means that you, the artist, are assured that we do everything in our power to promote and market your work, in a responsible and thorough way. Of course, in the event of an artwork being purchased and then returned by a customer, the artwork is fully covered by a comprehensive insurance policy at all times.

Once my work is sold through PicassoMio.com, how and when will I be paid?

Upon sale of your artwork, you will receive an amount equal to your sales price for the artwork, less our sales commission. You will also be reimbursed should you have incurred any shipping and packing expenses. All sales are reimbursed within 30-60 days of receipt of the sold artwork by the buyer, depending upon the contractual terms. You will be paid directly to your bank account by a bank wire or by a check.  However, PicassoMio is not liable for any charges made by your bank.  Upon sales of your artworks, we guide you through the entire process, from shipments to payments.   

I sold an artwork through PicassoMío but my payment is late?

PicassoMio pays each and every selling artist.  On rare occaisions, minor delays may occur due to non-receipt of your invoices, incorrect invoices, staff vacations or busy sales seasons. 

If you have sold an artwork through us and have not yet received the payment, please be patient and follow the following steps:

  1. Check the copy of the Invoice that you kept and our original shipping and invoicing email. Did you follow the instructions and mail the Invoice and Shipping Receipt (if any) correctly? If not, please immediately mail us the copy of the Invoice and Shipping Receipt (if any).
  2. If you did everything correctly and have not yet received the payment, please email us with the complete PicassoMio Order Reference Number at artist@picassomio.com, with following in the subject-header of the email: "Payment Enquiry - "PicassoMio Order Reference Number".

Please make sure that you are invoicing us correctly and per our simple instructions. Further, if you do not list the PicassoMio Order Reference Number, in your Payment Enquiry, we are not able to be efficient with our work and serve you properly. Please help us serve you and your collectors, fast and efficiently.

Can I still sell through other channels?

Yes. You may continue to promote and sell your artworks through all other channels, including your own website. Naturally, if you sell your artwork through other channels, such as your local galleries, you are not required to pay us a commission. Thus PicassoMio.com provides you with the ultimate complimentary sales and marketing tool.

You can take advantage of our free ArtCards, by sending your own artworks as electronic greetings to friends, family, galleries and collectors. With our Standard Package, you will receive your own Mini-Website (www.picassomio.com/YourName/). The Professional Package also provides you with a personal Website (www.AnyName.com). Your Mini-Website or Website addresses should be passed on to all your potential customers and fans of your work. You can also use it as a convenient way to introduce galleries, foundations, museums and collectors to your work, by sending them an introductory email, indicating that they can now view your works right at their desk, anytime they wish. Please keep in mind that with your enthusiasm your Mini-Website or your personal Website will be the widest seen exhibit of your career.

Can I announce forthcoming exhibits on my PicassoMio.com exhibit pages?

With the Professional Package, your personal Website has a specific page dedicated to your upcoming exhibits, art events and new departures in your work. You can use your Website address on your marketing materials, as well as send it to galleries and clients, press and fans. Additionally, the Professional Package gives you an Artist Guest Book, where visitors to your Website can write personalized comments.

Do I give up the rights to my artwork images once they are on PicassoMio.com?

No. You retain the copyrights to the images of your artworks at all times. Further, while the resolution of your artwork images on PicassoMio.com is optimal for online viewing, it cannot be used for publishing purposes. Your images on PicassoMio.com are only available for the express purpose of viewing the Website. All artwork images are subject to United States and International copyright laws.
