The Work is Hand Signed in pencil by the artist at lower right corner "Miro". It is also hand numbered in pencil at the lower left corner 34/50. This etching was printed in 1960 as part of the series "Les Geants" that included 6 different etchings and aquatints. this was the third etching in the series. It was printed in a limited edition of only 50 examplares/proofs. The paper bears BFK Rives paper watermark. The publisher was the famous French editor Maeght Editeur, Paris, And the printers were Crommelynck et Dutrou, Paris.Literature : Miro Engraver, Volume I, 1928-60, by Jacques Dupin, New York, Rizzoli, 1989. Referance: Dupin 278, illustrated in page 174.
Provenance :Sotheby's, Old Master, Modern and Contemporary Prints, London. Photocopies of both the catalogue raisonne and sitheby's catalogue will be available to the high bidder.
Condition : very Good condition. Light discoloration of the margins as a result of old matting.
