Jun Dobashi Biography

A Japanese artist of international fame, Jun Dobashi studied at the Academy of Art in Tokyo, and later in Paris. He lived a great part of his life in France, and his work is generally described as French-Japanese.

Working in an abstract style, his paintings also have much in common with European Informalism.

Dobashi received the Prix du Dôme in 1956.
