Koung Sei Thu Biography

An established Burmese artist, Koung Sei Thu works with oil on canvas. In his paintings he explores the many faces of Buddha, from the mystic to the profound.

Thu graduated from the State School of Fine Art in Yangon, Burma, in 1988 where he studied under U Thit Lwin Soe, U Ba Lone Lay, and U Say Yoe, among others.

He has extensively exhibited in Burma, as well as in Singapore, Malaysia, and Japan.
