Marcel Janco Biography

Bucarest, Romania, 1895 - Tel-Aviv, Israel, 1984.

A Romanian artist who achieved international fame, Marcel Janco worked both as a painter and sculptor. His later work became increasingly abstract, and he is well known for his wire sculptures, his work in relief, and his paintings.

Janco participated in the foundation of the Voltaire cabaret and in the Dada movement in Zurich.
