Influenced and motivated by two of her siblings, Elias and Daisy. Elias, a sign maker and Daisy, an Art student, noticed in her an aptitude for painting at an early age, many time helping them in projects and scholastic chores. She was fast to learn techniques and made easy work of projects and/or tasks, in which she had to draw, and make outlines.
As an adolescent she makes her first mural¾an 8’x10’ oil painting on a concrete wall¾at her sister’s residence. Shortly thereafter, she and her influencing siblings completed another mural of equal dimension at her mother’s house. She begins reading and learning the history of old and contemporary art, and the Great Masters. Inspired by her learning’s from Rembrandt she is influenced by the way he captures movements, form and the reality of his paintings. She quickly incorporates acrylic, oil, charcoal and black & white in all her painting body of work.
All her formation has been self-taught and all her works is original. She has exhibited her works at the Miguel Angel Gallery, Puerto Rico and the Dover Art League, DE. Her work has been well received and praised by critics and the general public. She strives to project her art, her passion and her gift into each medium she attacks, whether paper or canvas but ultimately she strives to inspire the people that look at her work.
