Detailed Description

Romance is one of a series of innovative and stylized portraits. I am particularly pleased with the way the couple who are painted in greytones, seem to draw romantic energy from their background into which I have painted the exotic colours of Jacaranda, Poinciana and Strelitzia.
This painting features two of my very dear friends and is indicative of my work in Portraiture. Although live sessions are preferable traditionally, our fast paced lifestyles do not allow us the time we had of old and I happily paint from photographs and computer images via the internet.
