Moshe Castel Biography

Internationally-known, established Israeli artist Moshe Castel employs Judaic SYMBOLISM in his work.

Castel lived in Paris from 1927 to 1940, exhibiting his paintings of street scenes in the salons of Paris. Upon his return to Israel he found fame by employing the traditional Israeli technique basalto in his work.

Many of his works are characterized by the appearance of ancient forms of writing.
