France, 1957
Established French artist Hubert Oddo works in an abstract style.
After graduating in Fine Arts, Oddo painted and exhibited for the next ten years. He currently continues his work from his studio ?le Panier,? which is located in the oldest part of Marseille.
Oddo explores the expressive possibilities of color and considers the materials he uses to be one of the most important parts of his work. Premeditation and planning have no place in his paintings. He works by painting and erasing successively, improving his work with each change until the shapes and color are in harmony.
If we were to resume the work of Hubert Oddo in one phrase, we could say that ?he feeds the imagination.? In his work he seems to have found a balance between suggestion and sensuality, always maintaining it pure and simple.
