Reference: Picasso a Vallauris Linogravures (Exhibition catalogue 2001) Illustrated number 50 (Larger work) Christopher Czwiklitzer: Picasso Posters” number 134 Luis Carlos Rodrigo : “Picasso in his Posters” Volume 1 number 086 Note: This was made to advertise the forthcoming show given by the Madoura Gallery in 1959 of Picasso’s ceramic works. There was a larger Original Linocut work (Bloch 1286) . This is the second of a series of two posters commissioned by the Vallauris Potters Association. The posters were done on different dates and designed to create “a multiplicity of forms”. These pottery works have an impressive appearance caused by the suitability of the colours and their innate simplicity.
