Palomares del Campo (Cuenca), 1935. Spain. In 1950 he entered the apprenticeship of the National Mint of Spain in where he began his training as an engraver. As a student attends classes in drawing and printmaking at the National School of Graphic Arts as teachers taking Castro Gil and Sánchez-Toda on engraving and Nespereira and Tellícer in drawing. In 1953 he joined the Section of engraving FNMT undertaking on it all his professional activity. In 1989 he was appointed Head of the Engraving Department. He has taught Burin Engraving at the School of Graphic Design & Engraving of the Mint Foundation. Its main activity has been the engraving of many landscapes, vignettes and portraits for postage stamps, banknotes and valuable documents.
