Pau Valls Cañellas Biography

Barcelona-born Pau Valls Cañellas is an exceptionally talented figurative artist.<>After receiving training at the Catalan art schools, such as Academia Valls, Escuela Massana y and Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes de Sant Jordi, the artist began painting murals.

His murals can now be found at various locations in Catalonia: Iglesia Parroquial de Morell (Tarragona); Xartes Convent, Barcelona; Las Carmelitas Descalzas de Gerona; La Iglesia Parroquial de Argelaguer (Barcelona); la Capilla de Can Bons Fills de Balmanya de Pinos (Lerida), Castellvi de Mata (Penedes) and Can Massana de Masquefa (Barcelona).

In 1977, the artist held his first solo exhibition at the Grife & Escoda Gallery, Barcelona; where he continues to exhibit, as of this date.

Since the late 1970s, the artist has exhibited all across Spain, including: E.M.E.C.E Gallery, Alcoi and in cities such as Barcelona, Figueras, Vitoria, Sant Feliu de Guixols, Olot, Sitges, Vilanova y Geltru, Gerona, Valencia, Manresa, le Vendrell, Terrassa, Badalona, etc.

In 1983, Pau Valls Cañellas first exhibited at Le Salon des les Nations de Paris.

The artist is a member artist of the Societe Internationale D'Art Figuratif (S.I.A.F) and has exhibited in France, Germany, Japan and the U.S.A., since the 1980s.
