Pham To Chiem Biography

A mid-career Vietnamese artist, Pham To Chiem works primarily with lacquer and oil on canvas. His brightly-colored paintings of figures are painted from his own life and are “created from the most heartfelt emotions.” Often combining color and form on the canvas almost unconsciously, he produces paintings that are expressive in their rawness.
To Chiem graduated from the Hanoi University of Fine Art and is a member of the Vietnam Fine Art Association.
