An autobiography in collage. Forty-five quirky true stories from the life of the artist written in collage format.
Excerpts from some of the stories: I grew up in the shadow of the Iron Curtain during the Cold War.
Every year my mother gets two turkeys and names one Thanksgiving and the other Christmas.
My mother would tell me to think pretty thoughts, so I would think about tulips.
If I wanted to get back at her for something I had to do it in a pre-meditated covert manner.
After dinner we would sit on the deck, drink scotch, smoke cigars, and throw our table scraps over the edge to attract the bears.
These lessons were usually prefaced with, "don't tell your mother."
Her scream probably woke up half the campground.
I didn't realize that she was a madam and her name was a play on her occupation.
I always thought they were stupid. Surely they knew the babies weren't real.

Uplifting and heart warming, 2009-03-16

I got this book as a gift a few weeks ago and I have to say I was intrigued from the second I lay my eyes on it. The book is interlaced with witty recollections presented in a very novel and aesthetic fashion. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that the recollections of the author make you reminiscent of your own childhood and bring back fond memories of the mischief you indulged in. I also found it inspirational in a certain way.

The humour is candid and you will find your self smiling as you engross yourself. The recollections are fraught with the many nuances of childhood and render warm thoughts while the depiction (and the way its is presented) is marvelous. Loved the book and highly recommend!
Great for all ages, 2009-03-11

I bought several copies - one for my parents, who can empathize with many of the stories, one for myself, and one for my son who is fourteen and discovering an interest in poetry and short fiction. This book inspired him to write a few episodes about his own life, so I thought the purchase was totally worth it. And guests always pick it up because it's on my coffee table - it's an easy book to browse through and get pulled in by one of the short biopics/memories that convey in very few words a whole world of an enchanting, mystifying, puzzling, frustrating, lonely, and funny childhood.
Great Book. Worth Reading it.., 2009-03-10

WOW! I have never read such a good book. I own this book, and I read almost every day. It is one of the most moving books I have ever read. This book is amazing for anyone who wants to know more about art and wisdom. This autobiography is a beautiful blend of art and short stories. It was so wonderful to get to finally see how sweetly Kim looked at life. The book is very interesting and describes her childhood and personal life. The best thing is, after reading this book you can also post your unforgettable moment and memories on the given URL.

It's good for any age group... I must say, equally well for kids, adults, old people or anyone. Just read it once and fall into your sweet and unforgettable memories of childhood once again. You can open the book to any page to read some interesting childhood memories and learn some fun facts, or you can read it from the beginning. Each page of this Book is nicely decorated and very artistic. Though the sections are a lovely idea having different art is used in each page and Theme is simply beautiful. I received it as a gift and must say; the best general artistic book about biography I've seen. I'm going to be buying it for special friends.
