An established Spanish artist, R.D. Adela has worked in various styles and mediums throughout his career. First working in a surrealist and hyperrealist style, he later experimented with abstraction, before finally arriving at his current, more conceptual, style.
He has also experimented with a number of mediums, including painting, print, drawing, photography, collage, sculpture, and installation. This process of change has aided him in a purification of his visual language, a language that is direct, symbolic, and sensual, and is based in few, but essential, vigorous brush strokes that speak with primary colors.
Adela’s work forms a part of numerous public and private collections and has been exhibited in galleries around the world, including in Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Argentina, and the United States.
