Ricardo Aparicio Biography

1969, Seville, Spain.

An established self taught abstract painter. Aparicio is devoted to the search of strength within colours present in his vision of contemporary truth. Graduated in Contemporary Art from the University of Alcala.

His body of work is composed of pieces executed in different media, such as oil paintings, furniture (taurine table, hall table), accessories (fans, t-shirtss) and other miscellaneous design projects. An example of this can be seen in his design of olive oil bottles for a special campaign, the logo for a group of family buisnesses and the corporative image for an emerging physiotherapy buisness, ect.

The technique used in his work is normally oil applied onto different surfaces (canvas, wood and sack fabric), as well as a combination of different mixing processes combining these different surfaces with natural elements ( earth and sand). This enables him to reach various volumes and colour ranges related to his feelings.

In his artwork the panoramic artistic reality of movement is highlighted with colours, transforming our inner world and using earthly paints as a tool that compose part of his pictorial structure.

A single shade or a colour range does not only bring to life the diversification of forms that guides you towards a global image, but will also have multiple and diverse significations that will superimpose.

Aparicios work has been exhibited throughout Spain in the last few years. He has also worked in various cultural projects in Madrid. His work is also available to buy in several art galleries in Madrid.
