Barcelona, Spain, 1924
An established Spanish artist, Roser Agell works with mixed media on paper. Her paintings are the result of a synthesis of abstract values and references to reality, full of imagination, magic, and pure lines. She has an impressive talent for working with diverse materials.
She studied at the Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes Sant Jordi, in Barcelona, under the tutelage of Victor Esteban Ripaux, and later in Paris and in Rome, where she met painter Jaume Muxart, who became her husband.
