Susan Williams Biography

Susan Williams is a mid career artist who was a Senior Lecturer in Fine Art in the U.K and who has exhibited extensively nationally and internationally. She now works full time at her studio practice.
Her current work explores the use of the computer as a primary drawing medium to make works which present the female form as personnages in roles or guises that occupy different kinds of imaginary or psychic space. The drawings examine the concept of female in such a way as to encourage out forms which can appear real and unreal simultaneously and which undermine any singular or stable meaning.
