Editorial Reviews

In 1871, a bright new star appeared on the Liverpool shipping scene. Like a phoenix, the White Star Line grew out of the ashes of a bankrupt sailing ship line to become the fastest-growing and most famous of all shipping companies. Their first ships set a new standard for transatlantic travel, a standard that was to remain for as long as the company existed. From Oceanic of 1871 to Georgic of 1932, there have been many ground-breaking White Star ships. The company's most famous are undoubtedly the Titanic, Olympic, and Britannic, but the other 70 ships of the line also helped the White Star become the most famous line of all time.

Doesn't Deliver The Great Cover, 2009-02-10
by Emanuel D. Elias (Los Angeles, CA USA)
I was expecting to see the great liners of the White Star line prior the merger with the Cunard Line. The cover it's impressive with a picture of the White Star's 1920-30's flagship the RMS Majestic docking. Inside there a re many photo with captions and stories of the White Star fleet. Unfortunately most pictures are small and not much can be seen. It isn't a grand book but it's is a pleasant one that probably most collectors would like to have.
A photographic history of White Star Line, 2007-10-02

Janette McCutcheon writes another well researched book (like for example that on the Queen Mary).A lot of mostly black and white photos show the history of the White Star Line from the beginning on.
A must have for White Star Line- fans!
