William Frederick Mitchell Biography

British Artist (1845-1914), known for seascape & ship painting. W.F. Mitchell was commissioned to paint various ships of the Royal Navy. His collected works were originaly published in the Royal Navy in a series of illustrations. He died in 1914.

His paintings & drawings figure in the Collection of the National Maritime Museum.
