A work of Islamic Symbolic Expressionism. The poppy flower refers to the seed and the plum tree in the background is symbolic of all matters associated with fruit stones. There is an expressionist symbolic allusion to a religious solitude and withdrawal indicated by the singular flower and tree on an otherwise desolate landscape.
