Harry Callahan

American photographer, renowned for his stylistically simplistic imagery.

Harry Callahan worked as an instructor at the Institute of Design in Chicago , where he was appointed by László Moholy-Nagy and Arthur Siegal and later at the Rhode Island School of Design, until his retirement, in 1977.

During his long career, Callahan explored various themes and subject matters, amongst which the most famous are: cityscapes, landscapes and portraits of his wife, Eleanor.
