American artist, and a leading exponent of art that is now termed as New Image Painting or New Image Art.

Jonathan Borofsky is one of the leading names categorized as the New Image artists, due to their strident figurative style, with cartoon-like images and abrasive handling of colors. Borofsky is known for his autobiographical pieces, that often depict his dreams.
