Franco Fontana Biography
The internationally acclaimed photographer, Franco Fontana, began photographing in the early sixties. However, he soon realized that the emotional content evoked by the photograph is much more important than the image itself. Thus he began searching for the metaphysical aspect of the visible world, aiming beyond the everyday awareness of reality.
His genuine passion for image making has led to many exhibitions worldwide. He has published over sixty books, in many languages. In addition to his own photography, Fontana is also known for his contribution as the organizer of the San Remo-based photography exposition.
Franco Fontana currently lives in Modena, Italy.
