Renowned british sculpturer and engraver, the relevance of Allison Widling in the art world begins in the 80s, when she was recognized for her work in sculpture, known for the diverse use of materials, the strong stress on surfaces and the tactical juxtaposition of elements.

Her work is characterized for a firm belief in the principles of abstraction with figurative references that produce some unmistakable metamorphic work. The distinctive forms in her work invite to associations with the human body, even though they avoid to use those images literally.
