About Blue by José Vento

José Vento Biography

Valencia, 1925 - Madrid, 2005

Master Spanish painter and graphic artist, Jose Vento, created beautiful abstract works.

Vento was trained at the School of Art and Offices of Valencia, and also at the Superior School of Fine Arts in San Carlos in Valencia. In 1947, he was granted a scholarship to complete his studies in the locality of Paular. In the same year he also became the co-founder of the Z Group. In 1954, Vento received a scholarship from the Ministry of Outer Subjects to continue studies in Italy.

Vento?s paintings strive to impart the maximum amount of expression with the smallest amount of emphasis. His gestures follow with a brief but marked outline, in whose interior an intense chromatic vibration emerges from the colors, creating a simple and calm emotion.
