Bernard Gantner Biography

Bernard Gantner (1928 -) is a painter and printmaker, born in Belfort (France), famous for his rural landscapes and still lifes, treated with watercolor, gouache or lithography.

In 1961, after having received the Prix de la Critique, he gained international fame with exhibitions in Japan, the United States, Switzerland and England.

In 1998, he was awarded the Legion d'Honneur and opened a museum in Lachapelle-sous-Lime. He also donated 550 prints to the Bourgogne region.
