Stephen Johnson Biography

Internationally recognized as a digital photography pioneer, Stephen Johnson's photographs have been exhibited, published and collected in the United States, Europe, Mexico and Japan.

This master artist has helped to refine the new tools of digital photography with the hope of empowering individual artists to use this technology to express their ideas.

The Photographer's Gallery of Palo Alto, California wrote: "Stephen Johnson's photography rides on the "bleeding edge" of photography's transition to a digital media...He shows us a world we know, but rarely see on paper. His is a truly remarkable vision."

In 1994, Stephen embarked on an ambitious seven-year major new endeavor, "WITH THE NEW EYE" the ground breaking all digital photographic look at National Parks across the U.S. Now in its final stages, this project has already yielded fine art prints, photographic portfolios, preview exhibitions, scores of magazine articles and many posters.
