Wolf Suschitsky Biography

Wolf Suschitsky was born in Vienna, in 1912.

Influenced by his sister, Edith Tudor Hart, who had spent some time at the Bauhaus working with Walter Peterhans, Wolf Suschitzky took up photography in the early 1930's. In 1934 he left Austria and ended up in London, where he began to sell pictures to various magazines. London became his home.

Wolf Suschitzky has had a long and distinguished career as a photographer and film cameraman. He has made innumerable feature films, fictional shorts and over 100 documentaries. Today, he continues to make films and take pictures.
