Ronnie Tjampitjinpa Biography

Muyinnga, Australia, 1943

Established aboriginal artist Ronnie Tjampitjinpa?s work reflects his strong ties to his culture, maintaining a purity that many other aboriginal artists have lost.

His work strictly follows Pintupi style, with strong circles joined by lines, that make a connection between the people, their land, and Dreamtime.

Ronnie?s work possesses a simplicity that makes it very attractive, mysterious and inviting to newcomers to try to comprehend what is painted. His work helps aboriginal culture to re-emerge and permits people from other cultures to learn about one of the oldest cultures of the planet.
