Maria Amparo Biography

Studied Art at Dario, Arturo, Bat, Círculo de Bellas Artes, and landscape paintings with Maestro Peña. Contemporary Art course on Artistic Vanguards and Impressionism at the Mafre Vida Cultural Foundation. She began exhibiting her work in 1991; year in which she had solo exhibits at the Julio Cortazar Center and Agata, both galleries in Madrid and at the Jerez de los Caballeros town hall in Badajoz. Since then she has held regular exhibits throughout various Spanish provincial capitals and Portugal. In the 90s she participated in various art contests in Spain: Madrid, Marbella, Guadalajara and Badajoz; in Europe: Belgium, Holland, Italy, Germany, Portugal, and the Nîmes Art Fair among others. Her work is on permanent display in the Science Department at the University of Granada, at the Jerez de los Caballeros town hall, IberCaja (a savings and loan bank), and at the Carriegos Foundation in León, Spain.
