Paul Greenleaf Biography

Paul Greenleaf

Paul Greenleaf is interested in the idiosyncratic nature of society, taking inspiration from architecture, people, landscape and popular culture. He uses a combination of found photographs, objects, new photography and digital processes to explore aspects of recent history and modern culture.

His training as a designer followed by several years working in graphic design and publishing fuelled Greenleaf’s passion for cultural ephemera and provided the technical foundations for his artistic practice. He went on to study post-graduate photography at Central Saint Martins, graduating with distinction in 2007.

Paul Greenleaf’s work has appeared in several notable shows including FutureMap 2007, at the University of The Arts, London and FreshFaced&WildEyed 2008 at The Photographers' Gallery. He was short listed for the Catlin Art Prize 2008 and his work is included in David Roberts Art Foundation Collection and The University of The Arts' Collection. He lives and works in London.
