A Spanish artist, Pedro Pacheco has developed his career in New York. His work, recognized internationally, is equally strong in black and white, or using strong color to highlight an object against a dark background.

Apart from his career as an artist Pacheco has worked as a director, art consultant, and curator. He also opened two new galleries in New York. He currently gives art classes at the Douglaston National Art League, and at various public schools throughout New York.

Pacheco studied at the University of Fine Arts in Barcelona, Spain, and has exhibited his work throughout the world, including in London, Antwerp, Glasgow, Venice, Tel-Aviv, Barcelona, Jerusalem, and New York. His work can be found in museums internationally, as well as in the private collection of the kings of Spain, in the Palacio de la Zarzuela, in Madrid.

In 2001, the artist donated a piece to the people of the United States in memory of those who died in the terrorist attacks of September 11th.
