Edward van Vliet Biography

Edgard van Vliet founded his studio SEVV in Amsterdam in 1990. His studio works on project-based designs for national and international based companies. The designs are multidisciplinary and range from interior design to furniture, lighting, graphics and interaction design. His philosophy is to find the balance between function, atmosphere and emotion. He likes to create his own style and ignore trends. He uses high-tech or natural material and blends them with traditional designs. His products create an atmosphere of luxury, exclusivity, and well being. His interior designs can be seen in places such as Hotel Derlon, NL Hotel, Stayokay, Restaurant Mondriaan, Nooon WTC Amsterdam, and many more. His products include lighting such as the Kaipo for Moooi or the Alistair for Queen, couches such as Djavan for Palau, and chairs for Palau.
