K Kyaw Biography

1967, Burma -

Established Burmese artist, K. Kyaw is a nationally well-known FIGURATIVE painter.

Trained at the State School of Fine Arts, Rangoon, he studied under older mentors such as U Hla Myint, U Thit Lwin Soe, U Mya Aye and U Kyaw Lay.

As with many Burmese artists, he focuses primarily on Buddhism and religious life as an integral part of daily life. He paints rich canvases in bright, vivid colours.

K.Kyaw has participated in several art exhibitions in Burma and his paintings are also in the permanent collection of the National Museum in Rangoon.
