Title: Blue and Yellow Bird (s.7503) Oiseau bleu et jaune Medium: Original Lithograph, in colours, 1960 on BFK Rives paper, with full margins, signed by the artist in pencil Published by: Gallerie Maeght, Paris, France Note: This work was an impression before the letters, completed with letters drawn by Braque. This lithograph served as a poster for his exhibition at Kunsthalle in Basel, April-May 1960. Mourlot in error indicates the Kunstmuseum, and 1961 rather then the correct 1960 Literature: Dora Vallier - “Braque - The Complete Graphics” : Number : 147, Hatje: Number 97, Mourlot: “Braque Lithographie” Number 97, Musee de Dieppe, vol 1, no 46 (Impression on Rives) Size: 556 x 754 mms (Paper size) ; 290 x 410 mms (Image size) Edition: Hors Commerce. There was an edition of 75 proofs on Rives paper and a further 30 impressions on Japan Nacre paper. The quantity of HC Copies made is not known.
